A Gift Ignored

In this Los Angeles Jewish Journal piece, Goldstein reminds us of the spiritual connectivity of Music, and that many devout readers of Psalms, don't take seriously the repeated admonition to " Make A Joyful Noise" with New Music.

In addition to his professional activities in music and film, Mr. Goldstein has become a founder of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and served as a director of the California State Summer School for the Arts for over thirty years. He also served for many years on both the Music Branch executive committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as well as its Foreign Language committee, since he was inducted into the Academy in 1977. He has also been a "visiting artist" for the Academy, lecturing from the Far East to the Middle East on contemporary aesthetics as well as music in film.
